Front Line Warrior Ministries

Front Line warrior Ministries exist to take the gospel of Jesus Christ to the people of Japan. Starting right here in our own church's and community, the goal of FLWM is simple. We want to live in such a way that we experience the heart of Jesus in our daily walk, then turn around and put ourselves in the heart of the Japanese and their daily lives and let them experience the heart of Jesus through us.

Calling all Japanese Christian musicians!

In putting together the band I wanted to make sure that there was a mixture of American and Japanese influences, but at the same time the members all need to be believers since our purpose is ministry-kinda makes sense doesn't it? That a Christian band whose focus is on ministry would have saved Christians within it's ranks. Well, we already have the rhythem guitarist (me, since I will never be good enough to be lead), and the drummer. Both American, so what I would like to find now is a saved Japanese to play lead guitar, one to play keyboards, and one to play Bass-also the abilty to do lead/harmony and backing vocals would be a plus! Note to potential keyboard players-you gotta know how to play the harpsichord-or at least be willing to learn (gotta have a harpsichord) Be prepared to wrk for little of nothing to since we are in the midst of taking baby steps-LOL. Hello Pachinko!

Thank you for visiting my blog and leaving a message. It's good for all of us to utilise blogs for what we believe in, and the very best of luck in your current venture. It seems that some months have passed since you last posted, but don't give up! It's important to refine what you believe in, as life progresses!

I started life as a Catholic schoolboy and moved away through disillusionment, but I think the essence of (pure) Christian teachings are for good. Yet the machinary of the church possibly creates more difficulties than it should. So, from my viewpoint, Christianity has given us all a mixed bag, yet the essential message of "do as you would like to be done by", or whatever it is, is timeless.

But for many people today - brought up reading Dawkins and existential novels, religion isn't easy to embrace. Yet, I think there is something within it that is positive for many many people.
Chavez's recent statements might well come from his 'faith' and I can't say I'm not impressed by him.

There's one question I've always pondered over: do we need religion to do good? It's a difficult one, isn't it? And I can't say I have the answer!

So good luck in your venture!

Best wishes to you and all Pachinkonauts!!

Hi Dave,

Thanks for posting on my blog and the kind words. Didn't know you had this blog, and I hope you can add to it sometime. I'm not a practising Christian, but I recognise that a great deal of good can come from it. I'm more from the "do to others how you would like to be done to" creed, and organised religion appears suspect to me, a former Catholic when in my youth.

Reading Camus and Proust stopped my belief, but I looked into other religions to find some truth. Then philosophy, and more recently Dawkinsian science. But the more I think the more I believe that any answer is impossible for mere mortals to contemplate, though it's worth trying.

By the sounds of it, you have a good church, and you are lucky for that. If you really want to get this project up and running again, keep writing...

Cheers Dave!

Richard
